Carrying something heavy, and ready to stop carrying it alone?
Sammy Wynn
Founder and Practice Principal | Registered Trauma, Grief and Anxiety Counsellor and Psychotherapist
I help adults, teens, children and couples find their way back to safety, connection and themselves, after trauma, grief and the hardest seasons of life.
Adults, teens, children and couples · In person in Engadine · $150 per session.
Feeling like no one quite understands what you're going through?
People often come to me when:
Something from their past, recent or long ago, is still shaping how they feel and react
They're grieving a person, a relationship, their health or the life they expected
Anxiety and overwhelm have taken over, and they're exhausted
They feel disconnected from themselves and are wondering who they are now
Their child is struggling, and they want support as a parent too
They're a couple finding their way through trauma, grief, infidelity or a major life change
Tired of feeling nodded at instead of truly heard?
I don't believe in cold, clinical therapy. I believe healing happens inside relationship, and my role is to build one with you that's grounded in trust, genuine care and safety for your whole self, not just your mind.
I'll never rush you, judge you or reduce you to a diagnosis. I show up fully present in every session, because the relationship between us is often the very thing that makes healing possible.
Together, we'll make sense of why you feel the way you do, help you feel steadier and safer day to day, and gently tend to the parts of you that are hurting, at your own pace.
Wondering if I'll really understand? I've walked this road too.
I don't just understand trauma and grief professionally. I have lived it.
As a survivor of sexual abuse, I know the deep and lasting impact trauma can have on the mind, body and soul. I have faced the near loss of my firstborn and the sudden death of my father. I have walked beside my mother and sister through their battles with cancer, witnessing both their strength and the heartbreaking toll of illness.
These experiences shaped who I am and why I do this work. As a wife and a mum of two, I know life is rarely smooth sailing. What I've learned is that while we can't always control what happens to us, we can shape who we become, through awareness, self-compassion and honouring every part of who we are.
My work began with mindfulness, and helping people reconnect with their bodies and find the stillness that's been there all along still sits at the heart of everything I do.
Your still space has been there all along. I'm here to help you find your way back to it.
