Individual Counselling and Psychotherapy
ADULT | $130 - $160
If you’ve found your way here, we want to acknowledge what a big and courageous first step this is. Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re carrying the weight of grief, trauma, anxiety, stress, or navigating a difficult season of life.
You may feel nervous, unsure, or uncertain about what therapy will look like, and that’s completely okay. You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin.
You don’t even need to know exactly what to say in your first session.
At The Still Space, our team of compassionate practitioners offers a warm, supportive and non-clinical approach to therapy. While each practitioner brings their own unique style and areas of expertise, we are all connected through a shared commitment to genuine care, evidence-informed support, and helping people feel safe, understood, and supported.
What To Expect
From your very first session, your practitioner will work alongside you to create a supportive and personalised plan tailored to your individual needs and goals, so you feel safe and supported throughout the process.
At The Still Space, we believe meaningful therapeutic work takes time. While every client journey is different, many of our practitioners work within a minimum six-session framework to allow time for trust, safety, consistency, and lasting progress to develop.
Depending on your needs, sessions may initially occur weekly or fortnightly before transitioning to longer-term maintenance support if appropriate.

Counselling, Play and Art Therapy
CHILDREN AND TEENS | $130 - $160
As parents and practitioners who work closely with children and families, we understand how heartbreaking and overwhelming it can feel when your child is struggling, especially when you’ve already tried everything you can think of to support them.
You may have been the listening ear, the calm presence, the advocate at school, the one holding everything together behind the scenes and still feel worried that something just doesn’t seem quite right.
Many children and teens don’t yet have the words, emotional awareness, or nervous system capacity to fully explain what they’re experiencing internally. Instead, their distress may show up through behaviour, emotions, or physical symptoms such as:
Big emotions or emotional outbursts
Anxiety or constant worry
Withdrawal or shutting down
School refusal or difficulty attending
Trouble concentrating
Nightmares or disrupted sleep
Low self-esteem or social struggles
Emotional overwhelm or nervous system dysregulation
At The Still Space, our child and youth practitioners offer a compassionate, neuroaffirming and trauma-informed approach that supports children in ways that feel safe, natural and developmentally appropriate.
Depending on the practitioner and your child’s needs, therapy may include play-based therapy, creative and expressive approaches, nervous system regulation strategies, mindfulness, emotional literacy work, compassionate behaviour support, and developmentally-appropriate talk-based counselling for older children and teens.
Above all, we focus on helping children feel safe, understood, supported, and empowered within themselves.
How It Works
To begin your child’s therapy journey, the first step is a Parent/Carer Briefing Session.
This confidential appointment gives you the opportunity to connect with your practitioner before your child attends sessions. During this time, we’ll explore your concerns, what you’ve been noticing, your child’s history, and the goals and supports you’re hoping for moving forward.
At The Still Space, many of our practitioners work within a minimum six-session framework, as consistency and safety are often essential for children and teens to build trust and begin meaningful therapeutic progress.
During your Parent/Carer Briefing Session, we’ll discuss the most appropriate support plan and session rhythm for your child’s individual needs.
