Heartbroken, and not sure how to carry it?
There's no right way to grieve, and no timeline you have to follow. Grief counselling gives you an unhurried place to feel what you're feeling, make sense of your loss, and slowly find a way to carry it. We support adults and children, in person in Engadine and online across Australia.
Feeling like the world kept moving when you couldn't?
Missing someone so much it physically hurts
Waves of sadness, anger or guilt that arrive without warning
Wondering if what you're feeling is "normal", or if you should be over it by now
Feeling alone, even when people are all around you
Dreading birthdays, anniversaries and the days that used to be happy
Grief is love with nowhere to go. Counselling won't take your grief away, but it can help it feel less heavy, and much less lonely.
Wondering if your loss is "big enough" to grieve?
Grief isn't only about death. People come to us grieving a loved one, a pregnancy, a relationship, their health, a job, or the life they thought they'd have. However your loss looks, your grief is real and it deserves care.
Worried someone will try to rush you through it?
Grief counselling is a place to talk about the person or the life you've lost, including the complicated parts, without worrying about how it lands.
We'll help you understand what grief is doing to your mind and body, find your way through the hardest days, and, when you're ready, discover how to carry your loss while still moving forward with life.
When grief is tangled up with something traumatic, like a sudden or distressing loss, our specialised training means we can gently support both.
Dreading a difficult date? Before the Date can help.
Some dates arrive with a weight of their own: an anniversary, a birthday, a diagnosis date, a court date. Before the Date is a one-off 90-minute session with Sammy, two to four weeks before the day, plus check-in support on the day itself. $289, in person in Engadine.

Your first session is simply a chance to get to know each other. There's nothing to prepare, and you can share as much or as little as you're ready to. If you're booking for your child, we start with a Parent/Carer Briefing Session, just for you.
